Exit Stencil Recordings and Universal Music present the reissue of The Damnation Of Adam Blessing along with The Second Damnation. Two monumental albums that some may not recognize today. After the Original recordings from 1969 and 1970 were found, Eliot Kissileff moiled to remaster the 5-decade aged tapes, which resulted in a better all around sound.
The earthy acid rock group first hit the airwaves in 1969 with the mind-altering hit “Cookbook” which is the first track on the self-titled album The Damnation of Adam Blessing. “Cookbook” truly blows you back into your seat with its strutting and independently fierce tone. It’s a huge kick start to an unbelievable experience you are about to undergo, as you listen to the album for the first time.
If you are ready for round two, you unquestionably should spin their second full-length album The Second Damnation. The opening track “No Way” is a pristine example of the Psychedelic/acid rock movement. There are reasons why these guys were so rare. All of the members had a certain irreplaceable trait that they presented to the music which in result was this soulful, heavy, and dark/peaceful sound. There is a lot of beauty and emotion in Bill Constables (Adam Blessing) voice as well as every instrument that is being played.
