For seven years now, Paul Rudd has been bringing celebrities from across the country to Kansas City for a weekend of special events to benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital. In previous years, the lineup of events has included celebrities hanging out with patients at the hospital, red carpet events, a softball game at Kauffman Stadium on Friday night, a poker tournament, and an auction. The poker aspect gave rise to the official name “Big Slick KC.” The past couple of years, the poker tournament has been maneuvered into a bowling tournament.
A project spearheaded largely by his family–mother Gloria Rudd and sister Julie Rudd–, Paul Rudd now has a stellar lineup of hometown hosts to help him spread the word. On Friday, June 17th, photographer Erin Zimmerman caught all the action at the press conference at Children’s Mercy with the hosts of this year’s events (Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Rob Riggle, David Koechner, and Eric Stonestreet) before they were joined by numerous other celebrities to hang out and play games with patients at the facility.
