Cuesta Loeb, the artist from New York City, has created a fresh anthem in “Grass It Grows”. Although her music is self-described as “dream pop”, the message of self-acceptance and individualism is not lost in the easy pop melody. Her lyrics are first and foremost encouraging words for each of us to remember that we are who we are supposed to be: “Grass it grows/With no pressure to be tall and green/Just the way nature knows it grows/Stretching in front of me/Found my way naturally”.
“We are often told where to go, what to do, and how to think. But these rules are manmade, arbitrary and often times unnecessary. No one tells grass how to grow. It just does, free of any force or pressure.”
