The alternative rock icon delivered an all-timer solo set for a rapturous crowd in Brooklyn

Last week, alternative rock icon, Breeders frontwoman, and former Pixies bassist Kim Deal brought her first ever solo tour to the picturesque Brooklyn Paramount. To the rapturous delight of the sold-out crowd, Kim played a glorious set in support of her excellent debut solo LP Nobody Loves You More, one of our favorite recent albums. The performance expertly balanced the heyday of ’90s alternative and a whole new grandiose sound for her. In addition, she performed a number of favorite Breeders tracks, including “Do You Love Me Now?” and “Night of Joy.”

Earlier in the night, Chicago indie rock rising stars Ratboys performed a potent opening set of their own, with tracks off their amazing breakthrough LP The Window cementing their reputation as one of the finest up-and-coming groups in the sphere.
