“Queen and Sister”, a new single from Brooklyn quartet LAPêCHE, brings to the table an old school indie vibe that has been missing from the mainstream indie rock scene. Krista Holly Diem, David Diem, Jeff Gensterblum, and Drew Demaio piece together an authentic song that sounds like it could come straight out of the 90s, but the vocals have a more progressive new-wave feel to them.
Similar to that of The Cranberries, the lyrics are reflective of the music that supports them, and have an edgy vibe that is backed by haunting harmonies. This is one of the singles off of their upcoming debut album The Second Arrow, releasing this upcoming September. If this song is any indication of what the rest of the record will entail, then expect some raw, 90s sounding, indie rock that will make the hairs on your neck raise with musical excitement.
