Multi-talented pop artist Ódú (oka Sally Ó Dúnlaing) has taken time and dedication to morph her sound into what it is at present. Notable for its modern yet somehow entirely vintage feel, she works intrinsically positive-sounding staccato notes into a deeper bass in her new song “Different”, which itself to be different, or a diamond in the rough.
Ódú’s vocals are overwhelmingly gorgeous, delivered with a warmth that is inviting as she sings contrasting lines like “love is only a drug / if you’re not enough / then baby it’s gonna get rough” while she begs the (very important) question “What makes you different? What makes you special?”
Do you meet her expectations?
Keep up with her here.
