This coming weekend, cyberfeminist research collective Deep Lab will participate in the New Museum’s bi-annual Ideas City festival with a series of conversations, workshops, performances, and installations addressing privacy, security, surveillance, anonymity, and large-scale data aggregation.
The bulk of the public-facing activities take place during the day on Friday and include panels such as “Surveillant Anxiety,” “Anti-Utopias: What is to be done when everything is impossible?” and “Strategic Witnessing” along with a performance by EMA. The programming is the culmination of a week-long Deep Lab residency at the New Museum’s art/tech incubator NEW INC.
