“Ride the Wave” via the new Cosmos & Creature single that will keep those sun shining wave pool sentiments swimming forward into the fray of the fall season. With a festival stage friendly sensibility, C & C offer up what could very well be the sounds of autumn & winter events soon to follow.
The Toluca Lake, California duo of Molly Moore & Brandyn Burnette work in ways to harness hazy & hedonistic elements of dissonance into an intuitive audio order. Like an intercepted interstellar pop telegram cable, Brandyn & Molly take command of their own earthly space craft as a reminder to open up thy heart, accept & embrace the moments (that are often beyond our control) that occur/materialize in the great happenstance narrative of our lives. With bright tones to light up an entire field and/or forestall setting, “Ride the Wave” is an all inclusive invitation to sing along to the free flights that the new solstice may provide. C & C introduced their new single with the following reflections:
Sometimes it can feel like you’re waiting for the perfect moment to start something, or to feel something. “Ride The Wave” is about following your calling, starting something from nothing, being brave enough to make a change, trusting yourself & embracing each moment that comes with that ride.
