Canada’s own Mathew V presents a listen to the just released EP Sounds where he bares his heart & soul amid a restrained mix of evocative electronic arrangements. From the everything is going to be alright forever sentiment on “No Bad News” to “Love Song”; Matthew provides a stripped down display of raw feelings & a yearning of a rising troubadour & their plugged-in poems. Matthew provided the following insights on the Sounds EP:
I wrote this record about a boy that I never met. My self doubt, my insecurities and the chaos that came along with them, ended up destroying any opportunity I may have had to create something good. Writing this EP I was able to walk through my emotions and ultimately be self aware of how my insecurities were holding me back.
