#HappyPeriod provides menstrual products to anyone with a period that has low-income, is homeless, or living in poverty. They believe that no one should go without menstrual care. Everything we do, we believe in ending the stigma and breaking the taboo surrounding menstruation.
That verbatim statement from the good folks at #HappyPeriod (and not some weird funny intro from a dude-identifying dude) is really all you need to know to go ahead and consider supporting. What’s this? A show comprised of some of Brooklyn’s best indie bands to benefit #HappyPeroid AND deliver to you some excellent rockage?
Tomorrow night, head to Brooklyn Bazaar for performances from some Impose favs in A Deer A Horse, Parlor Walls, ESSi and DJ Weeping Python – Lani Combier-Kapel (Weeping Icon). The night will also feature raffle prizes from Featuring Raffle Prizes from entities like Beacon’s Closet, Calexico NYC, Three Kings Tattoo and many more.
