Devastated from the separation of her band and a personal break-up, “Push Back” is a beautiful indication of newly-found direction.
Softened, intentional vocals are set to a gentle, electronic rain storm, with an easy-to-miss, almost ghost-like background structure. “Push Back” serves as a challenge to the traditional, with Alina musing that “it questions the validity of complete harmony and suggests that only through oppression can you really learn and grow with another person.”
