Baltimore seems like a reasonable place for Drew Swinburne to end up. He's got a bit of the geeky Dan Deacon sound-science going, but also some of those Adventure faux-8-bit-dance-party powers. And he's putting this to good use remixing bands like Hawnay Troof and the Death Set, and making soundtracks for adorable animals. Some of this stuff might sound a little over-simple, but it can be deceptive: his sense of effortless pop melody seems to help him get away with some fairly strange beat programming at times.
