Veteran English musician returns with electronic new wave gem
It is a gold mine out there for solid tunes these days, as it seems to never stop! Luckily, many of the musicians hard at work in the space remain creative to the max. That can be said proudly regarding music-master Lloyd Cole. A man who has cut his teeth on the scene since the ’80s onwards, his group Lloyd Cole and the Commotions is not shy on raising the bar within their craft. His newest album Guesswork arrives on July 26 via earMUSIC. In addition, Lloyd Cole will tour the UK and Ireland in October with Neil Clark as support. His latest track “Night Sweats” is a sweet sample of the goodness to come.
While Guesswork is situated in the electronic genre, “Night Sweats,” released this month, is a supernatural yet trippy track that remains groovy all the same. Its catchy nature is an addictive substance ripe for prime musical enjoyment. Mr. Cole’s eerily pleasing vocals slink right in, and listeners are sure to be entranced.
