We recently got to talk with Oscar Scheller at length about the origins of his music’s old soul, his dance music affinities, and his dog Jasper (pictured above). A few days ago we got another glimpse at his methods in the form of “Be Good”, an electric pop joint oozing out dancehall, ’80s Britishness, and Beirut-tinged melody. Though its lo-fi values are solidly in-check, it’s the type of track that could easily be played by a full band, complete with horns, piano and strings, and bring the whole house down in tears. Yes, I think it should be your wedding song.
