Back in May, Impose Magazine had the pleasure of showcasing Lucid Dreams the latest EP from NYC-based producer DeModa. Since then, that short player’s lead single, “Downtown Glow” feat. Slow Shudder, has taken off amassing over 400k streams on Spotify alone with recognition coming from Pretty Lights, Martin Garrix and more.
The rising producer promises much more to come in the new year, but is celebrating a potential break-out 2017 with a VIP Remix of “Downtown Glow.”
“After so much positive feedback on the original, I decided to give it a disco-electro revamp to add a little flavor to my live performances,” shared DeModa.
To go along with a stream of the VIP Remix, we had DeModa share five of his favorite songs from other artists in 2017. Check it all out below and be sure to follow DeModa on Facebook and Spotify for more.

Craves – Without You
Craves absolutely nailed it on this one. In probably my favorite song of 2017, Craves creatively uses a slew of instruments, synths, and percussive elements to paint one of the most diverse and unique tracks in the electronic/hip hop hybrid genre.

Shallou – You and Me
Shallou continues to release vibe after vibe and every new track hits you right in the feels like a train plowing through a stopped tractor-trailer at top speed

Baynk – What You Need
Baynk has such a cool and unique take on the indie dance/deep house genre. The calm yet rhythmic synth pattern in the hook make this a sweet groove for the club or the car

Crayon – After The Tone
Crayon expertly takes the best parts of jazz and deep house and effortlessly drops hit after hit. His latest “After the Tone” has been on repeat for me for the last few days.

Virtu – Let You Go
Talk about the ultimate cure for Porter Robinson fans who can’t get enough of that heavy synth yet passion-inspiring sound. Virtu takes that style and adds some cool grooves and sounds carving his own path in the electronic world.
