There are very few artists out there that can pull off genuine musical fusion.
There can be no doubt, that Italo-Congolese artist Sans Soucis – Is an artist that successfully carries that hallmark. Growing up across different borders in Italy, she was deeply inspired by her Italian grandparents who continue to shape her sound today. She then took the step to connect with her Congolese roots, and incorporate the distinctive styles of her heritage in a truly unique way.
Later in life, as many European artists have done – she took the leap to move to London. She worked tirelessly to build a reputation on the fierce grass-roots circuit, but stood out due to her impressive performances and distinctive musical style. In turn, this garnered attention from a number of key tastemakers such as BBC 1Xtra, BBC London and Worldwide FM. She then leaped at opportunities to perform at Union Chapel and Rich Mix in Shoreditch.
Summer of 2019 sees the diverse and talented artist share her new single ‘The Lover’. The product of working with a number of creative communities across the capital, it’s a release that harnesses all of the artists wealth of skills. Ethereal vocal harmonies take centre stage, while dreamy guitar licks and tribal drum sounds form the foundation. Check it out in full below
