For a band with a full back story explanation for calling themselves Total Slacker, they know how to hustle.
One of the busier bands playing down the block in Brooklyn on any given party night, which is to say any night, the trio's pumped out a new Garageband track that, like all good lo-fi rock, sounds like ten pounds of Benadryl riding pretty vocal harmonies. Great guitar melodies, too. That, and it touches on the age-old tale of statutory rape, written from the perspective of “a 14 year old trying to date a 30-something community college teacher.”
Total Slacker rule. I've seen them smash more guitars on stage than all other bands combined in my life. That means like four guitars, which was enough to persuade us that our next 7-inch release would be from them. Look out for it this summer.
