Blogworthy buzz band Crocodiles are back with their sophomore album Sleep Forever.
It was recorded in a self-described “analog haven” in Joshua Tree by James Ford, yeah that’s the dude from Simian Mobile Disco. There’s no need to worry though, he didn’t clean up their sound at all.
The title track is the first single, in all it’s fuzzed out poppy glory. There’s even a few “La-La’s” in this one, and who doesn’t like a pop song with “La-La’s”?
The “Sleep Forever” 7” single with B-side “Groove Is In the Heart/California Girls” will be released by Fat Possum on August 17 and the Sleep Forever LP will be released on September 14, also on Fat Possum.
Expect a summer tour to support the album with a full five-piece band, none of that two piece action anymore.
