With her debut LP in the works, Ivy Meissner gives us a taste of what’s to come with her single, “Talk at Me”. This Brooklyn-via-Bay-Area songstress has created a pop jam like no other, and it’s worth a listen.
Meissner‘s voice is echo-y, like it’s bouncing in between the guitar, bass, and drums. The song has a folk vibe. With that, combined with a 70’s wah-wah guitar and wispy backup vocals, she manages to create a completely original sound. This song is relaxing, perfect for a car ride home or dancing in your room.
Ivy Meissner’s full album, Platinum Blues, drops on August 5th via tiny Montgomery Records. “Talk At Me” is available now. Her release show is August 6th.
