Laraaji: Philadelphia’s Laraaji is a longtime cult figure and pioneer in the ambient, drone and new age music scenes who plays the piano, zither and mbira instruments. A wildly eclectic and forward-thinking musician, the 77-year-old will perform tonight at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge as part of their recent LPR.tv series. Death Valley Girls: Hot off the release of their cosmic and euphoric new LP Under the Spell of Joy, Los Angeles psychedelic purveyors Death Valley Girls will get their groove on with a virtual performance on Amoeba Hollywood’s Instagram. Expect some killer desert-blasted riffs, droning organs, and occult-laced imagery abound. The show starts at noon, you can watch it HERE.

Laura Jane Grace: Against Me! frontwoman Laura Jane Grace released the excellent surprise album Stay Alive last week. Packed with sparse, heart-on-your-sleeve acoustic anthems, the record has been in our constant rotation from the second it dropped. To keep the celebration going, Grace will perform on Vox Amplifications’ Instagram page on Thursday at 12 PM PT. You can watch the set HERE.
Lydia Loveless: Colombus, Ohio singer-songwriter Lydia Loveless has specialized in crafting unique elixirs of alternative, country, pop and punk with chameleonic aplomb since 2008. A couple weeks ago she released her excellent new LP Daughter, which featured her signature brand of brutally honest lyricism and lush instrumentals. Future Islands: One of the most captivating live bands of our generation, Future Islands will perform their only live show of 2020 in their hometown of Baltimore this Friday. The show will celebrate the same-day release of the band’s new album As Long As You Are, and promises to feature tracks off the new one in addition to some old classics. IDLES: Whether you love them or hate them on record, there’s no denying just how powerful IDLES are as a live act.
