We thought we were prepared for the amazingness that is the High School Nation Tour. We were wrong. Starting off with a crowd of 4000 strong in San Antonio, we were in awe about the reaction to our songs and the show itself as well as the kindness and warmth brought along with meeting close to every single person and making new fans. We really connected and still have been connecting with the kids because not too long ago, we were in their shoes. I’d like to give a personal shout out to every crew member as well as the other artists for being extremely welcoming and friendly. We love everyone here!
Eight days were spent in Texas playing in the hot hot heat, trying some great Mexican food, and exploring the biggest state in our country. We were fortunate enough to have an awesome weekend off where we got to see one of our favorite bands, Catfish and the Bottlemen at the Dallas House of Blues. After the last show in Fort Worth, we went to Oklahoma City and Tulsa as well as Springfield, Missouri and had some of the best shows on the tour yet.
This past weekend was spent in Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL. It was a great weekend where we experienced a lot of new places, foods (deep dish pizza), and night life. We even crashed a wedding at the hotel we stayed at. It was “legendary.” Now it’s Tuesday and we just played an amazing show in Chicago and are on the road to Cleveland (a 7 hour drive). Cannot wait to have a wonderful experience hitting the rest of the schools and states we have left. Very fortunate.
