I’m going to come right out and say it –– Hop Along are the best band in indie rock. They’re from Philadelphia. But all the way on the other side Pennsylvania, on the South Side of Pittsburgh, they held a packed Tuesday-night concert hall in complete awe for an hour and a half. Not a single talker in the audience, and hardly any cell phones were out. I can’t name a single other band that commands that degree of attention.
