Philly roosted at the Barn last Friday for nothing in particular: Kurt Vile’s breezy folk (that yes, retains a bit of that unadulterated freakiness), U.S. Girls‘ cacophonous noise entreaties, Birds of Maya’s snotty garage punk, and a little Brooklyn thrown in with Gary War’s spacey, bubbling pop.
