In November 2014, Mitski released her second record, Bury Me at Makeout Creek (our second best album of the year) and went on a tour with Johanna Warren. We asked her to take two disposable cameras with her for her northeast US tour and gave them to her at the record release show at Silent Barn. Over the course of five weeks, Mitski documented their live performances, landscapes, participating in the “Black Lives Matter” protests in New York City, and more.
