Have you ever wondered about what the life of the yellow-coated sailor on the front of Gorton's fish stick boxes might be like? Well the Boston drone-rockers Kal Marks have, and according to the story they created for the bearded seaman in the video for their latest single, “The Fucking Ocean,” Gorton has seen some serious shit. Obviously distraught with the death of a friend, the sailor goes mad encountering his lost friend in his attic turning the video into a 5-minute Stephen King-esque thriller. What seems like a crazy concept fits perfectly with the band’s only instrumental track as the all-encompassing wall of sound washes over like a riptide.
