Latasha, "GLO UP"

Post Author: Andre G

Brooklyn rapper Latasha has dropped her last name from her stage name – and she’s also dropping f*ckboys on her “GLO UP” track. The song, which is from her Teen Nite At Empire project, received a Natasha Hester and Ethan Mills co-directed visual which shows her getting over romantic mistreatment with a little self-care and quality time.
Over a minimalist, energetic production, Latasha offers a simple affirmation: “I glo, fo’ sho’.” The song works to get the party started and provoke thought, as she rhymes about dealing with the wrong guys in the past, and her decision to put the trash in the trash for her own self-preservation.
“GLO UP” is another personable, inspiring track that highlights why Latasha is growing a cult fanbase in New York City and beyond. On February 3rd, she’ll offer those supporters an Introduction To Latasha with an “Interdisciplinary Performance Art Project” at the Brooklyn Museum.
