On September 17, Southpaw Records will put out the excellent third record of Toronto's Teenanger, which we premiered for you here and gave a little backstory on the hilariously titled (and sadly appropriate) Singles Don't $ell. In anticipation of the record's release, Teenanger now has a video for that title track, and in its delivery, we see the scuzzy punks posing, sad-faced, in front of a sign that reads "NO STAGEDIVING." The performance spot looks more like a car garage than a venue, and the band registers all that painful boredom in both their faces and in the grainy, scattershot quality of the VHS-style video. Though there may be truth in the platitude that singles don't sell, Teenanger are doing very little to give you an alternative, and that in itself seems like the brutal commentary.
In addition to the release of their record next week, Teenanger have announced several North American tour dates. Catch them below.
