The Moi Non Plus self-releases its stuff, so to speak, on Subbacultcha, a solid independent zine from the Netherlands (in English, no less) that already sunk its teeth into the whole Brooklyn/US d.i.y. thing with an issue devoted to interviews with Todd P, Skeletons, High Place (pre-Los Angeles relocation), etc. We caught the Moi Non Plus back in the fall, and there was, inevitably usage of the word āblisteringā in there somewhere. The band's self-titled album, which is Subbacultcha's first release, and apparently has been floating around for at least a few months, captures the raw spirit of this drum/guitar/samples duo splendidly.
