Auckland, New Zealand’s goth pop queen is back at it with the recent release of her single “Hard”. It begins with interesting percussion, the bass dropping early in the song producing a dark, intense vibe to go along with So Below‘s heavy, notoriously ethereal vocals. The lyrics match the sentiment of the instrumentals, making you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. But, at the same time, it’s like the weight has been lifted as you belt out the lyrics to the chorus: “and it’s too late / taking it too far / so tell me is it real / when you push so hard.”
