Coming off the wide acclaim of this summer’s triumphant DSU LP (Orchid Tapes), Alex G is now sharing an unreleased track recorded during the sessions from the album. For a relative youngster, Alex Giannascoli has an impressive knack for economy of words and simple melodies perfect for the kind of fidelity he’s working in. “Soaker” takes the theme of unrequited (insert feeling) and slaps it with the metaphor of water and glue, if there ever was a pair that didn’t work well together. The track leaves its mark in a way only Alex G songs can.
