Of all the 7″s in Suicide Squeeze's summer series, Antwon's Dying In The Pussy 7″ sat as king of the mountain as most anticipated. Mixed by Lars Stalfor, engineer of multiple Mars Volta and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez records, the a-side is a Carpenter-esque blend of funereal epics and dark wave synths, while the b-side “Life Is What You Make Of It” is deserving of being hailed as the Nor Cal rendition of “Juicy”.
In two songs Antwon encompasses the majority of his discography's textures, from erie trap to celebratory anthems, and proves he's building towards greatness; both tracks may bear similarities to past work, but easily surpass in quality.
