Bad Brains' Build A Nation, produced by Beastie Boy Adam Yauch is out June 26th on Megaforce Records but you can buy it now if you want.
Yauch, who recorded the album at the Beastie Boys' New York City Oscilloscope Laboratories and Studio compound, sits in a hot seat last occupied by former Cars vocalist Ric Ocasek, who along with producing their last album also worked on their breakout sophomore LP, Rock for Light. The band in its full and original line up (HR, Darryl Jenifer, Dr. Know and Earl Hudson) will open its tour in Asbury Park and follow it up on a New York boat ride tour. Watch for their first video for the single “Give Thanks And Praises”, to be directed by System of a Down's Shavo Odadjian, that shirtless guy with the macramé project growing down his chin. Quote:
