Fresh off a tour with King Khan, Portland’s dreamy, swirly pop group Candace (formerly Is/Is, their sweet sound gouged with just the right amount of noise recalls the fine days of Clairecords and Blackbean & Placenta) offer a first listen to their track from the upcoming compilation Mt. Portland. Mt. Portland was recorded at Buzz or Howl Studios by Stan Wright of Arctic Flowers and curated by psych-rocker Joel Magid to highlight the city’s thriving and vibrant current independent scene.
