If you’re back to the grind after a three-day weekend, EarthGang’s latest track – featuring Ari Lennox – could be your new motivator. Today the Atlanta duo dropped “Nothing But The Best,” an ode to life’s finer things – and the chase for it. Riding a thick bassline, the three note that they’ve got a “hundred million on my mind” and wonder why so many people are “wastin’ time.”
The group definitely isn’t talking about themselves, though. They just came off of an Australian tour with J. Cole, and are finishing up the North American leg of the Never Had Sh*t tour with J.I.D. The Dreamville signees are following up on Cozz’ debut album with Royalty, the third EP from their trilogy of extended plays. That project precedes their debut Mirrorland album, which will be due later this year. In the meantime, we can check out “Nothing But The Best” and hear the guys’ blend of melody and self-assured lyricism.
