New York’s indie garage rock collective Flower Girl has been hard at work on their new 12-track album, Tuck In Your Tie-Dye, which is set to release next month. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of their track “I Saw A Mouse” to hold you over until that time.
The song is pretty straight forward, clad in the signature Flower Girl cacophony of sound, cloaked in heavy electric guitar and wild percussion. The lyrics set in just slightly before the instrumentals, with the first line “I saw a mouse in my apartment the other day.” The narrative unfolds into a first person account of what went down when the mouse was encountered, something I’m sure most NYC residents have experienced at one time or another. Silly subject matter aside, the composition is still something to tell your friends about.
