Geyser, “Copper Wish”

Post Author:

Of the four tracks on Geyser's self-titled EP, “Copper Wish” is it's most notably softest. The melodies are simple, the patient bass line padding its undercarriage, and unlike the remainder of the tracks, it never full bursts forth into anything. It just is. The remaining three tracks oscillate between harsh noise and fuzzy punk, with a definitive showmanship coming from their lead vocalist as he wrangles and tugs with existential questions and poking fun at others. The EP doesn't feel unhinged, however—if anything, it plays like a masterclass in how to show your influences wihtout limiting your sound.
