My love for grungy, garage rock with super dense guitars has been well documented, and continues to flourish at the hands of Happy Diving. A recent signee to Father/Daughter Records, Happy Diving use a head-nodding Nirvana-reminiscent walls of guitars effect to achieve the perfect pinnacle of what I consider just enough guitar noise. Adding on to the song's heaviness are the omnipresent guitar solos that punctuate the heft like a pin bursting a balloon. There can't be enough of this band or enough guitar noise to help me through the rest of the week.
Happy Diving will release their debut self-titled EP on January 14 through Father/Daughter Records.
