Here's a baby CD-R from a home-recording artist freshly wobbling off the training wheels and already stumbling on introverted gems.
Maine-based Jared Fairfield's The Great Boiling Atom employs 11 fragments towards the greater whole, which in sum sound indebted to Devendra Banhart's early four track recordings, with a few h-pop casio-beat intermissions (see “Conch”).
