Jenny O. has accomplished so much as a singer-songwriter and performer over the years. In September, she wrapped up a tour with The Proclaimers, and has been seen on the road with stunners like Father John Misty, Ben Harper, Leon Russell, Rodriguez, and Rodrigo Amarante. Her debut album, Automechanic, was met with critical acclaim, and she self-produced both of her EPs. In fact we’ve got the latter of the two, her brand new EP Work, streaming right now.
The five track work bounces from upbeat, vintage sounding “Be Here Now” to simple, beautiful “Schopenhauer On Love”, boasting Jenny O.’s signature breathy, ethereal vocals. We’ve always been big fans of the guitar parts in her songs, as they’ve given us nostalgic feelings for the 60’s. She’s got this insane ability to really transport you to a different time, to a specific emotion with her music. Work is no different, and we can’t wait to play it as the backdrop to our autumn.
Work is out now.
