Johanna Warren has taken on the worthy task of releasing each single from her upcoming record in sync with the cycle of the moon. And so it makes sense that on each of her songs, Warren sounds like she is looking up at the stars and trying to tell us something. “Wherever you are, you’ll never get where you’re going if you’re wound so tight / forget the duality of wrong and right,” she sings on “True Colors”. It’s the most recently released track from nūmūn, following previously heard spook-folk of “Less Traveled” and “Figure 8“. The record is out May 19 via Team Love.
