Keep Shelly In Athens, “Fractals”

Post Author:

In January of this year we received the unfortunate news that Sarah P had left Keep Shelly In Athens, but that the project would continue. It was officially announced in March that Myrtha would be KSIA’s new vocalist which was followed by a notable performance at June’s Bottle Rocket Festival in Napa, CA. With the release of the new single “Fractals” this week, Keep Shelly In Athens officially debut Myrtha as a member on record.

“Fractals” finds Keep Shelly In Athens departing from the mood-driven intensity of At Home in favor of the ethereal plane of dream pop. Where the looming echo of trip hop might have resonated through KSIA’s earlier work, “Fractals” breezes through the wistful motions, careful not to interrupt the bliss out.
