Leading up to the release of their new EP Paradigm, Portland indie alt pop trio Keeper Keeper is giving us the exclusive first listen to their track “Wine Teeth”. Written during the summer of 2016, the song itself is a song about fate and good timing.
Sometimes ya find love at the wrong time. When someone says your homie is coming “and bringing his new gf Anna”. Then in walks a 5’1 sex magnet with a white dress on and a bottle of wine the size of her torso and a huge sexy already drunk wine teeth smile… and you just think “please don’t be Anna! Please don’t be Anna!” … I was good and I did NOT steal my homie’s girl. But a year later? She and I were both single and had a romance for the ages. This song is about that moment…. that lightning to your dick, earthquake in your chest feeling some people give you!
A mid-tempo track, “Wine Teeth” meanders along, the perfect song to play on a warm spring night while enjoying patio life. Almost indiscernible at first listen, the lyrics are delivered in a way that screams nostalgia. By the end of it, you might find yourself singing loudly, arms spread wide and a giant smile on your face. (AKA this song was made for the outdoors and is the perfect summer music festival track.)
