LAMC stands for Less Artists More Condos. This was the name attached to all concerts that Ariel Panero threw, in weird venues all over New York, for many years, before he passed away. Ariel was also a partner in Famous Class, the record label/apparel company (and ultimate Impose brosephs) that are releasing this series of 7-inches in his memory. The series will feature an unreleased track by their favorite artists on the A-side, with a B-side from an upcoming artist chosen by the band on the A-side. This first one is A Place to Bury Strangers and Ceremony (not the punk band, a different Ceremony) with a very nice record sleeve. The tracks are also available digitally through BandCamp on a pay-what-you-want basis. All of the profits go to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music.
You can check out the tracks below and buy the 7-inch here. The next 7-inch in the series comes out in July and it will feature Future Islands and Ed Schrader's Music Beat.
