He's been likened to a Tical-era Method Man, particularly on “Huzzah” but it's still too early to pigeonhole Mr. Muthafukin Exquire with comic-influenced tracks like “Galactus” and the rap-come-up anthem “Show Me The Money” alluding to a range beyond the drunken monkey style flow.
Jacking a Necro beat “Huzzah” is low budget at its finest, as Mr. Muthafukin Exquire gets quatro'ed (slang for drunk on Four Lokos) and invites a half naked honey over who's willing to have water splashed on her voluptous backside for sake of visual effect. No homo, but Exquire is the center of attention in the “Huzzah” video as he's clearly carving out an identity with his heavy African chain load, fang fronts to mush up his delivery and throwback gear to be more than just another Bucktown rapper claiming he's ready to put New York on his back. One of the less gnarlsome, but vital bars in “Huzzah” goes “publicist asks what's my gimic / I said going in”. It's a simple enough statement, but rings definitive as to why Exquire is gaining serious Internet attention.
Mr. Muthafukin Exquire joins Fokis and E-Cashe$ on “Show Me The Money” for some “it's our time” rhymes, and clearly all the rappers are out to prove their hunger, but Exquire takes to the track with a smooth polish that slanders the state of rap, proving his time is now.
