Brooklyn electronic duo My Body have a knack for creating captivating pop sounds. They’ve produced some notable remixes in the past and released their compelling Six Wives EP earlier this year. Their newest song “Manjacked”, released via Shutter Records, is a chilling three-and-a-half minute track that creates a glossy, yet dark atmosphere. Airy synths and an EDM-beat accompany Jordan Bagnall’s syrupy vocals. The combination is so smooth that you may have to rewind the song to catch Bagnall sing, “Do you move your hand and find me in your sheets / While I’m a baby hiding liquor on the lawn.” My Body’s latest release is an infectious, dream-like song that’ll trick you into not realizing what’s bubbling underneath.
