Having found initial success in Young Rising Sons, songwriter Dylan Jackson Scott moved out on his own in 2016 forming the alt-rock outfit Rad Horror. Now, the group is starting to bear its first fruits with new single “Dark Times” premiering on Impose Magazine today.
On the track, Rad Horror bring big, thrashing guitars and brilliant pop hooks swimming in the same amber-hued sonic pools as latter day Brand New.
“‘Dark Times’ is a definitive nod toward mental illness and the self-awareness that follows after a decade-plus battle,” shares Scott. “It reaches into depths that many artists are afraid to touch, the way they truly feel about themselves and the sarcastic ass-hattery they lay onto the outside world.”
