Bristol-based singer/songwriter Sam Brockington has been proving his chops with his ever-growing music catalogue and frequent live shows around the UK. His debut EP – aptly titled Peace of Mind – is out next week, and we’ve nabbed the exclusive premiere of his latest single “Manta Ray”.
The song holds its spot in the island sound-meets-light indie rock-meets-soul spectrum, upbeat and catchy as all get out. Eventually, his raw, emotional vocals run their course from saying “Manta Ray” to “being a man today,” and we’ve never been more intrigued by a lyrical progression. Check it out.
Oh, but that’s not all. Not only do we have the single premiere, but we have the premiere of the music video for “Manta Ray”! What gives? How did we get so lucky?
Let the vibes of the song carry you through footage of brilliantly colored fish, swimming around and adding spectacular color to your day over visuals of Sam himself singing the song.
Peace of Mind is out November 25th via Prospect 21.
