Divisive though it may be to name your anonymous electro project Unknown, the track “Blame” practically cries out for protected anonymity. In its sensitive vulnerability and open-mouthed vocal whines that never break out of their unintelligibility, “Blame” is the track for all of us to listen to during the darkest moments of night. As a vinyl crackles on beneath the surface, the track takes in some elevated garage beats that don't whirl too hard or come off as corny. There is a subtle gentility to the track, and as a high-pitched guitar sound intones like the ringing of a Hendrix bell, there's an element of The Weeknd on here—but with layers of more complexity.
