Before we get into the meat of this discussion, there's something we need to get off our chest. We have spent the past few CMJs at one of our favorite grimey Bushwick watering holes, but given the current musical landscape in our great borough, we felt it was extremely important to throw this year's Imposition at DIY, all-ages venues only. As the number of venues in Brooklyn expands, it's quite frustrating to see the number of all-ages venues actually decrease. Which is not only sad, but pandemic of years past—the years no one likes to talk about. So with that, we've partnered up with some amazing friends from both coasts to throw two big parties at a couple of our favorite DIY, all-ages spots (and one Sunday brunch). The lineups speak for themselves, so come out and help us support the true independent community of Brooklyn.
