These days, it seems that Jimmy Tamborella is most widely known for his involvement in the band The Postal Service with lead Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Gibbard. Let us not forget that Jimmy has also recorded with Sub Pop under the name Dntel, in which he released the 2007 album Dumb Luck. In 2001, Dntel released his first full-length album, Life Full of Possibilities, with Plug Research. The album is full of contributions from a variety of artists and includes the song “(This Is) The Dream of Evan and Chan,” which features Ben Gibbard and is noted as the spark that pushed the two artists to create The Postal Service.
Sub Pop has announced that this October they will re-release Life Full of Possibilities. It will be released as a double-CD version as well as a double-LP version. Both will include re-mastered tracks, outtakes, b-sides, remixes, and more.
